4 March 2016
Our laser leakage tester has been upgraded.
The instrument now supports both pulsed lasers and continuous-wave (CW) lasers.
For pulsed lasers, non-modulated emissions
with pulse repetition frequencies of 1 kHz or higher are supported.
This laser leakage tester is highly effective for verifying
that emissions from laser products comply with Class 1 Accessible Emission Limits (AEL).

13 October 2015
Mita Giken has developed a laser leakage tester.
This instrument is designed to verify that accessible emissions
(laser leakage from protective housings) from laser products
remain within the Class 1 Accessible Emission Limits (AEL).
Both the Class 1 AEL calculations and the measurement optics
are compliant with IEC 60825-1 : 2014 (JIS C 6802:2014).
The system supports continuous-wave (CW) lasers with wavelengths
from 400 nm to 1100 nm and emission durations of 0.4 seconds or longer.
The Japanese-language version is currently available.

13 March 2015
Go Mita delivered an invited lecture entitled:
"Japanese Industrial Standard for Laser Safety and Laser Leakage Measurement"
at a meeting of the Optical Radiation Club, National Metrology Institute of Japan (NMIJ),
National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).

November 2014
Go Mita contributed an article entitled:
"Laser Safety and Japanese Industrial Standard"
to the December 2014 issue of Optronics,
a monthly magazine published by The Optronics Co., Ltd.

27 August 2014
Go Mita delivered a lecture entitled:
"Laser Safety and Japanese Industrial Standard"
at a meeting of the Laser Application Technology Study Group
organized by the Optoelectronics Industry and Technology Development Association.

5 August 2011
We began preparing this English-language website.
